Did you know that nearly 90 percent of Americans set a New Years resolution.  The majority of Americans make weight loss and fitness their goal.  However, the majority never accomplish what they resolve to do.   Here are some tips you can use to stick with your health & fitness resolutions:

  • Hire a personal trainer to get you started and motivated.
  • Get support from family and friends.
  • Workout with family, friends or co-workers.
  • Set realistic goals that are attainable.
  • Start off slow; try a couple days/week to start.
  • Set a timeline to accomplish your goals. (i.e. I will lose 15lbs. before March 31st.)
  • Find activities that you enjoy.
  • Workout at a consistent time.
  • Workout in a setting where you are comfortable-home, work, or a gym
  • Find a gym that is close to either your home or place of employment.
  • Schedule exercise into your day.  Write it into your calendar.
  • Invest in some inexpensive home equipment.  That way you can work out even if you can't make it to the gym.
  • Stay active while traveling.
